Ray Hodge works as a Business Advisor, Coach, Speaker and Writer, working primarily with privately held companies that include such industries as professional services, manufacturing, engineering, construction, logistics, civil and trade services.

For the last 30 years, Ray’s work and life have spanned multiple roles in various sectors that include Church Leadership; General Management in Construction; Director of his own finance company and for over a decade, his now current Business Advisory work. The various roles he has held in his career provides him with a rare depth and range of insight to draw on for the work he now does.

Having logged thousands of hours in his consulting career he has formulated his own approaches for driving efficiencies in the companies he now works with. One such company he took from chaos-to-order, won the local gold business award in the Process Improvement category. Another professional services firm who had plateaued for 8 years, Ray used the plateau as a launchpad driving a record 234% net profit increase within 7 months with the firm going on the post record earnings in subsequent years.

Referred to as the Efficiency Driver, Ray is regularly requested to work with key personnel and leadership to drive productivity along with identifying critical bottlenecks in systems to dramatically increase key results.

Ray has been cited on Forbes.com, is the author of two self-published books: Smash the Bottleneck – How to Improve Critical Process Efficiencies for Dramatically Increased Key Results along with The Business of People – Proven Methods for Increasing Leadership and Employee Performance. He is also the author of countless articles regularly published by national trade magazines.

Ray speaks to various audiences across Australia conducting leadership facilitation work, training and workshop sessions—a notable event being the Department of the Australian Prime Minister and Cabinet—along with keynoting to larger gatherings at national conferences.

He sits on the board of the Australian Subcontractors Association and is recognized as a Certified Construction Professional (CCP) within the Master Builders Association.

He is the co-author of 4 children, loves expanding his knowledge of wine and its origins, enjoys attempting swing and ballroom dancing and currently resides in Adelaide Australia.
